Booster_Bot

Navigate your little robot through stacks of circuit boards and aim for the highest score.

Booster_Bot is a Flappy Bird clone for the GameBoy Advance.

In order to play this game, you must already have a GameBoy Advance emulator on hand. This game was developed with the mGBA emulator in mind.

The controls are simple; use the A-button within the emulator to activate the robot's booster and try to avoid colliding with the circuit boards as they pass by. Dropping off the bottom of the screen will also end the run.

Development on this game originally started in October 2022 for the GBA Jam 2022. I got most of the gameplay done by the end of the jam but almost entirely abandoned the project afterwards. I've picked and poked at the code since, learning a lot about low-level development and interacting with hardware (I'm including virtualized hardware here) along the way.
